It’s fall y’all! Personally, I think the best time of year is when the morning air is crisp, but the afternoon sun provides a comfortable warm glow. I thrive in sweater weather. If I don’t have to wear a winter coat but I’m also not sweating, I’m ecstatic! That being said, I never fail to get confused about my fall wardrobe. What summer pieces can I keep wearing? Is it too early to pull out my fuzzy sweaters? Keep reading to see what I’ve been wearing during the transitional period between hot and cool temperatures.
Summer dress, but make it fall
You don’t have to put away your cute summer dresses yet! I hang on to all my neutral summer pieces and turn them into fall fashion. I would pair this short-sleeve tie dress with a denim jacket and over the knee boots and head out to the farmer’s market.
Long-sleeve crop top
Keep the crop tops going! Now’s the time to wear those cropped long sleeves or sweaters that were too warm for the summertime. Pair it with high-waisted jeans or paperbag trousers and you’re good to go.
Jumpsuits > Rompers
I’m all about the jumpsuit for fall. Personally I find them a lot more chic than a romper or playsuit. This Showpo piece is a little bit sexy, so it’s perfect for a night out – just toss on a moto jacket. Or keep it casual with a denim jacket (your best friend during the fall season) and a brimmed hat.
Blouse, jeans, & a caramel macchiatto
Unpopular opinion time: I think PSLs are overrated. I just don’t like the taste! But I do love a classic caramel macchiato paired with a good old white blouse. You can still wear your romantic, flowy, spring and summer blouses – just pair them with jeans, booties, and a hat.
